2) Install 2.GPSd.jar. Run this prior to starting TomTom IMPORTANT!

3) Install 3.tomtom.sisx

4) Copy the TomTom folder from the 0.Copy.To.MEMCARD.Root.rar
to the root of your memory card.

5) Run TomTom. Choose Yes when it asks you to switch on bluetooth. Go to Change preferences, Show GPS status, Configure, Other Bluetooth GPS receiver, and select the
BiNPDA GPS.

* You need to change the preferences every time you start tomtom. It won’t

* If you need to switch from internal, to an “external” receiver, you may need
to click on “tomtom receiver”, and then “other receiver” to get the list of devices again.

If, like me, you’ve upgraded to V 12.0.013 of the N95 firmware, you may have noticed the “keypress bug” where random keypresses go un-noticed by the phone. It’s more obvious when texting (letters get missed out) or scrolling through the menus. There is a newer firmware out - V 12.0.014 which is for APAC (Asia, Pacific) models. Reports seem to suggest this fixes the problem with the keypress bug. To get the firmware you’ll need to switch your product code to 053085. Make a note of your current product code before changing.

See this guide for details on how to change your product code.

NB: Changing to this product code will change the fonts used throughout the phone, I personally prefer the original fonts. The menu fonts are bigger, but the texting font is smaller.
