Nokia N95 Keypress Bug Fix

If, like me, you’ve upgraded to V 12.0.013 of the N95 firmware, you may have noticed the “keypress bug” where random keypresses go un-noticed by the phone. It’s more obvious when texting (letters get missed out) or scrolling through the menus. There is a newer firmware out - V 12.0.014 which is for APAC (Asia, Pacific) models. Reports seem to suggest this fixes the problem with the keypress bug. To get the firmware you’ll need to switch your product code to 053085. Make a note of your current product code before changing.

See this guide for details on how to change your product code.

NB: Changing to this product code will change the fonts used throughout the phone, I personally prefer the original fonts. The menu fonts are bigger, but the texting font is smaller.

sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but unfortunately this new firmware does not fix the keypress bug. I have done this upgrade and the bug is definately still there just as it was before, no better or worse, just the same.
