Hi,

Ran through your firmware / product code procedure to unlock my Vodafone N95.

Product code changed successfully, but Nokia site still does not recognise that the phone needs firmware update. Is there another setting that needs changing?

Hi,
Further to above.

Firmware update probelm resolved - firewall blocking…

Had backed up my phone before modifying code. When restoring data + settings, phone locked with message: “phone start-up failed. Please contact the retailer”.

Assumed that this was a downloaded settings issue, so rebooted phone by pressing green, * and 3 whilst starting phone. This cleared the problem and I was able to restore my data (but not the settings…).

Thanks for the info on this site.

I would like to know if this method could sim unlock N95 8G?
Thanks

This does not unlock ANY phone. It’s just to remove operator-specific firmware

Do you think this will enable tri band for US? I have a phone with HK tri band. Works OK, but sorta spotty, since it’s grabbing bands above 850 which are weak with AT&T.
Thanks!
