Here’s how I got VOIP working on my Nokia N80 with Internet Edition firmware:
I had a few problems connecting to Gizmo. I kept getting “Unable to connect to the connection network” error after about 1 minute of trying to connect.. After looking through the Gizmo forums which, unhelpfully said it was a username/password problem. I figured it might be my router.
I checked the ports it was using: port 5060 (UDP) so I opened this up on my router and it worked! I even tried calling my mate who has an N80IE and we had a call over VOIP. There was the odd bit of lag during the call which I think was down to the network, but other than that – it was the same as calling over GSM.
