Black N80Sorry about the lack of updates for the past few weeks. Work pressure hasn’t given me much time to update the blog. Here’s a picture of my “new” N80. With a black keypad and black front cover. Both are genuine Nokia parts and were bought from l8shop. You’ll also need a T6 screwdriver to get the cover off. The only part that is silver is the back part of the top half of the slide - but it doesn’t look “weird”.

(Excuse the quality of the photo, I had to take it with my old 6630!)

There’s no guide I’m afraid, but it’s pretty simple:

Remove the 2 screws at the top, behind the screen (use a t6 screwdriver)

Prise the sides off from the back (the bit between the slider “runners”)

Screen pops off.

Clip new screen on, and put screws back in.

Obviously you’re doing this at your own risk!

thanks for the quick response …I meant the silver thingy around the number pad ..as i know the black version is not silver …i mean the guide is just for removing the front cover isnt it ?

I have the guide ..but im afraid im gonna break the phone..lolz.
I mean if you remove the lcd cable how you going to put it back ..does it snap to it easily ?
In addition ..do you know how i could fix the slider ( the left and right movement and also to make it more tight ) ….

Thanks in advance ..:)
